What is a doula?
The word doula means “one who serves”. We are non medical, we do not replace hospice. We fill in the gaps of supporting our dying and their loved ones within our scope of practice and the system we are navigating.

​Person-centered care is at the core of Light The Way. The person who is dying and what they desire is at the forefront of my mind as a doula. It is the compass that directs me at all times. I am a fierce advocate.

​It's our mission to make death approachable by offering compassionate guidance and person-centered support. We foster community around end of life through accessible education and meaningful gatherings.
